Well in order to fully enjoy your Fedora 16 (Verne) Install, And by enjoy I am referring to seamless integration of all codecs the majority of us need. The following Steps should get you up and running and closer to having a complete desktop experience. Just remember the following steps all need to be done as the “root” user.

Just remember the following steps all need to be done as the “root” user.

Well It is that time again, Fedora 8 is out and looking pretty good so far, so listed below once again is how to get full multimedia support, here are some of the programs i had to install in order to get full functionality. Just remember the following steps all need to be done as user “root”.

Centos 5 Multimedia Howto

In This Article, I will be discussing how to setup Multimedia on Centos 5 Enterprise. When your looking for a longer update cycle than traditional Fedora / Ubuntu provide, I am also aware of Ubuntu LTS but i will not be covering that matter as it has been covered quite frequently, your best bet is probably to install a Version of Centos 4 or 5. I will be sticking with the latest and greatest as of today, which is Centos 5 Enterprise.
